In the heart of Porto, Cucina di Toscani is more than a place to dine: it is an expression of ideas, culture, and taste.
Inspired by the provocative and socially engaged vision of photographer Oliviero Toscani, the interior designed by Isabel Sá Nogueira translates Toscani’s irreverent way of seeing the world into a bold and thoughtful spatial narrative.
Drawing conceptual references from the exhibition “Software + Hardware = Burros”, the design embraces authenticity, inversion of values and the beauty of what is often overlooked. The space is conceived as a photographic camera: layers, frames, transparency, light, and shadow interact to create depth, rhythm, and visual tension.
In the heart of Porto, Cucina di Toscani celebrates Italian cuisine with character and intention. Rooted in tradition yet open to dialogue and interpretation, each dish reflects authenticity, creativity and emotion.

CHEF VITOR MATOS
Throughout his almost 20-year career, the Chef with the most MICHELIN Stars in Portugal has won several distinctions as a cook, including the titles of Chef of the Year 2003 (Edições do Gosto), Chef of the Year 2013 (Awards WINE Magazine), Best Chef in Portugal 2014 (Arco Atlântico Gastro Awards) and the Prix Chefs de l’Avenir 2011 from (Académie Internacional de Gastronomie, Paris).
